There’s a small hillock of books and paperwork on my desk which I should organise. Need a secretary who doesn’t mind working for nothing. Woke up at five this morning and never got back to sleep. The Golf needed shifting from where I left it. It’s starting to depress me in lots of little ways so its going to have to go; being rational doesn’t do it for me – its almost making me pine for the Alfa 90. What I need for knocking about in is a nice little Fulvia Zagato, or even better an Alfa Berlina. Tried to buy the former a while ago but the owner was having none of it. Feeling overwhelmed by car projects but at least the Citroen SM is ready to go now. What a car: wish I could keep it. Not so the 230CE Mercedes which is a lovely little thing but not really ‘me’. It’s on ebay, with the SM, at the moment. Maserati and Mercedes 600 book projects are moving forward slowly and I have an idea for a non car related book but have yet to identify the right publisher for it. Has anyone out there got an engine for a Fiat 130 that’s not seized? Need one for the left hooker project car I seem to have acquired. I’m awaiting delivery of a Becker Mexico radio for my 280SE 3.5 saloon. I really enjoyed the Chris Lawrence autobiography which made me determined to crack on with my Monica when funds allow. Now to tidy that desk.
